About Snap-8
Snap-8, also listed as acetyl octapeptide-3, has the sequence Ac-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-Ala-Asp-NH2: an acetyl group at the start and an amide at the end.
Its methionine is the amino acid most sensitive to oxidation, so storage away from air, light and moisture matters for keeping the material as tested. Laboratories use the sequence above to confirm identity before their own experiments.
