Epithalon is a synthetic four amino acid peptide supplied as a lyophilized powder for in vitro laboratory research. Each lot is identified by its sequence.
About Epithalon
Epithalon (also written Epitalon) is a chain of four amino acids: Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly.
As one of the smallest peptides in research use, it is read at a low ultraviolet wavelength on HPLC, and its aspartic acid and glycine pair at the end of the chain is a well known spot for small changes in synthesis and storage, which our guide explains.

Purity is measured by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC): the Epithalon peak as a share of everything the detector picks up at the test wavelength. Identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry.

Sizes and storage of the powder
Epithalon comes as a lyophilized (freeze dried) powder in sealed glass vials in one size: 10mg. Each vial's lot number ties it to the lab report for that lot.
Store sealed vials at minus 20 °C or colder, dry and away from light, and record the lot number with your lab notes.
